That's why I am letting all of my subscriptions lapse. Sometimes I look at some in the store and if something jumps out at me I buy it. More times than not, I end up passing the mag to the girls at work.

Some of the Australian ones are on the net - or maybe we could do a swap - I love Quiltmania, but it costs a bomb down here!
I came across a copy of Australian Patchwork & Quilting last year and bought it. I liked every single pattern in it, which is unusual for me. I was going to look at subscribing to it somehow here from the states, but never got around to it.
Ok, here is the link to their website.

Eeek! $145 for a 1 year subscription to the US. I think I need to look for a US supplier! :D

I go to Barnes and Noble, get a cup of coffee, gather a bunch on quilt magazines and enjoy the hour! I do this a lot when it is dark and rainy.

Yes - I'm getting bored with them. This year I have decided to let all of my subscriptions except for The Quilter's Magazine (my favorite) lapse. I figure I can buy the ones I find something of interest in at JoAnn's or Barnes and Noble.

I too am bored with the magazines. I feel like they are more of an advertising agent than anything else. I don't like a lot of the fabric choices used and I let my subscriptions run out too.

I feel the same way. I think it's the quality of the publication. I still enjoy my QNMs and Miniature Quilts from the 1990's.

I am a beginner and I may find one project in several issues I can manage. so have dropped all but one. I use it mainly to help me with color combinations. smile also they are expensive.

we get used ones at our volunteer free library and I take them home and when I see something I may use I copy the page and put it in my quilt file. then the magazine back for others.
