Ahh the sun is finally shining and not for just 10 minutes. I honestly can't remember the last time it was out this long. The fields around here are looking more like giant mud puddles.
Yosamitesa, your runner should be in the mail on on Monday. Sure hope you like it.

Today I received the prettiest table topper and pincushion from AlaskaAlice. The table topper is reversible so really I got TWO toppers! She was such a fun partner, we pm'd back and forth several times and really got to know one another. Thank you Alice for the two sided topper and the pincushion. I can't remember if I told you that pansies were my favorite flower but there they were on the pincushion!

Oh wow, such pretty table toppers, and table runners. Oh and that pin cushion is so pretty. And so glad to hear about the apartment who will allow your babies. That is just great.

Have to show you all my granddaughter's very first attempt at making a quilt. She's wanted to do this for a very long time and with her schedule for airline stewardess has not had the time to come spend with me . She called me today from JoAnn's Fabrics in Dallas. Told her the amount to buy of fabric, then she bought the ruler, mat, cutter, etc. and went home. I sent her this pattern and we talked on the phone once and this is what she did. I think when something happens to me I certainly know where my stash is going...

The latest postings of everyone's swaps warms my heart. Sure some pretty creations coming from all you talented folks. LeBrat...so glad you now have a place to land. Hope your move goes well. I am thinking I need to look through my fabric to find something similar to make a pin cushion like the pansy one. Very cool looking. I think we will all enjoy our 'gifts'.

thank you teriamn, appreciate the compliment. I learned by watching videos online, of course lots of book, and I belong to a group called Inland Northwest Machine Quilters here in Spokane and learn a bunch when I go to meetings. We have them four times a year and always have some teaching involved with two of them. I have been to one longarm retreat last year which landed me a Best in Category for machine quilting at the WSQ Quilt Show last fall. I have been quilting for approximately 9-10 years now so it is coming along, but not where I want to be. Lots more to go. So thank you for the encouragement.
No worries, girl, I am going to love yours because the fabric choices are going to match perfectly with a doll quilt I have received and I am going to have a set to put in my office and make it cheerful for me to enjoy. Knowing your heart went out to finish it with your health issue makes it even more sentimental.

Kgoodhand, yours is on its way. I had issues with the post office to get it out, custom forms, but it should be there in hopefully a week, but maybe two. Glad I mailed now before the deadline so you receive it on time.

I think seriously this is the most creative out of the box swap I have seen in the last year for runners/mats. I say hi five, hats off and all that goodness you ladies are amazingly creative!
