Do you have enough scraps of the fabric to try dying them? I would try dying all but the peacock fabric a darker blue, then the pleats as Libster suggested. (but only if I could test dye first don't want to make the problem worse)

I finished the March group blocks so going to start on these very soon. Love the blocks I have seen. Kass, love the block, outstanding job for sure and you guessed it.....that is exactly why I sent the amount of green that I did, a just in case thought for me.
Agree about the baby gift, colors are okay but I think it is the ruffle also. Ruffles just seem to be a girl genre to me.

I guess I'm weird in that I wouldn't use purple for a boy. Well, maybe a little bit if it was mixed with other bold primary colors, but not alone. I think the advice to change the ruffle and dye the purple fabric navy was very good. That actually could work.
