that I take to flea markets

There is a grocery store chain that does that. You get your quarter back when you return it to the cart holder. First, and only time, I wnet to the store I did nto have a quarter but lady coming out let me have her cart for free. I can see why they do it, but it is a pain in the neck. Saves them looking all over parking lots for them, hiring someone to look for them etc. The airports do the same thing. Take care.

At least they have carts. I have been to a JoAnn's in Ohio that did not have carts, boy did they lose money with me shopping there LOL. My motto when shopping "you have carts, I will spend" LOL Take care.

Or Aldi's has that. Saves then from losing the carts and hiring someone to chase them down. I don't mind it and the carts all actually roll well because no cars ever run into them. I don't worry about my vehicle getting damaged from being hit by a loose one on a windy day either.

Aldi grocery stores do that. But you get the quarter back when you return the cart. It's a way of keeping track of the carts and not having them all over the parking lot. Perhaps Walmart should do that!

Being disabled I try to park near a cart so I can use it even on the way in from the parking lot. However, I can understand about carts crashing into cars. That's a bummer. Just never thought I'd get this old this fast.

We have that at our Aldi's and when you put the cart back where it belongs you get your quarter back. Good way to keep the carts out of the parking lot!

Not yet but we have a grocery store that does the same. They say they never have to go out to parking to retrieve carts. Oh well, what are you going to do?

If it is like Aldi's, I'm all for it. That is my biggest pet peeve when someone leaves a cart in the parking lot. Sometimes the cart corral is right next to them and they are too lazy to walk a few steps.

We have an ALDI that charges 25 cents. You get your quarter back when you return the cart to the storage rack. I think their reason for this is to keep carts in their proper places. This way they don't have topay someone to pick them up when they'reall in the parking lot racks.JMHO.
