I decided to go with a creamy buttermilk which is very light. The white door and trim along with the medium dark flooring look nice with it. I like neutrals for walls so I can hang artwork. Hope you find the perfect color for you.

Don't pay the ransom I escaped. I guess you all thought I had forgotten about this thread but as always life and making a living got in the way of my "want to's" and it has taken a lot longer to get this room finished. But the job did entail a bit more than paint.

For the demo portion we removed all the carpet and did some prep work on the concrete slab, tore out all the baseboards and door facings. Then scraped all the texture off the walls and floated them out smooth. Next we scraped most of the texture off the ceiling. Then for the finish work we installed new LVP click and lock flooring, primed and painted the walls, ceiling and woodwork. Installed the new woodwork and gave it a final finish coat of paint. Phew I'm tired just thinking about it.

Then I bought a new bedding set, which came with comforter, shams and curtains. The comforter had poly-fill batting and I didn't like the super puffy look and besides it was only tacked in places and not fully quilted. So I took it all apart, discarded the poly-fill and re-quilted it using regular quilt batting with a FMQ leaf and loop design. I like it much better. I'm still not sure if I like the curtains instead of the cornice board I had before but I'll get it a little time, maybe it will grow on me.

Well there it is the 2 week job that lasted 2 months, but that's okay the I had cheap labor. The DH only charges me two and half a day...(that is two meals and half the bed) so I'm not complaining.

Oh I forgot to mention the paint color which was what started all this. I opted for the Sherwin William Kilim Beige. The pictures do not do it justice. It is a neutral color and if I decide I want to change the bedding again I can without having to repaint. This color should work nicely with just about any other color bedding. Thanks SherylM for throwing this one out, it's a keeper.

You're welcome! Your room looks beautiful! You'll love that vinyl plank floor too - that's what we put in our kitchen and half bath.

We sold our house last week (for our full asking price, after only one day on the market!) We put a deposit on a condo on Friday, so while I'm packing I'm also going through paint chips again, though I think I'll live with what's on the walls in the new place for a while...but I'm leaning toward Sherwin Williams Accessible beige this time around.

Home Depot sells little cans of paint so you can audition colors. We did that and it was easier to find something we liked. We just had almost the entire interior painted. I'm so bad with choosing colors and this was a good way to do it.
We chose some Cape Cod-ish colors and they are beautiful.

Ps. My sewing room desperately needs to be painted Ugh! I can't even stand thinking about it.

I find using mats where i stand works, Don't like rug, to hard to keep clean. I need to sweep often and threads are landing on the floor constantly. I cut a lot and while picking up first, (bigger bits and threads over 4 inches) I can't vacuum without a lot of work. Hose first then brush' or the fills brush and needs cut out.

Son in law is going to come up and do some refinishing to the garage floor and will be doing some color finish if I heard him right plus will level the floor where the drain hole was for cars dripping after rain or snow. I will need help getting all the furniture in there including me knotty alder scrap box that I’ve had stored in my original sewing shack. One way to find more pictures is to google the paint brand and color and then click on images. If the color is popular there will be a lot of photos.
