The stars are too pretty for sashing. Thanks for sharing the pattern.

Thanks everyone, I have come up with an ideal I think may work, when I lay it out I'll post a picture of it to see what you think. Have a great day.

Wonderful blocks. They are so bright and cheerful. You have so many opportunities for your quilting. I would get out the sketchbook and try several things. Sashing, whether the prints or solids, confines the eye movement to squares and is very pretty. However, not having sashing opens up areas for special quilting that could become the focal point and would push the pieced stars into a secondary position. I think it's especially true since the stars are not solid. This is a really interesting quilt. Good luck in choosing the 'right' option for you.

At first I thought sashing but I like this as suggested by hopetoquilt. So my vote is for no sashing keeping the focal point on the stars and quilting. Beautiful blocks. Looking forward to seeing the completed quilt.

Your stars are great, love the colors. I would use a sashing so every star becomes an individual.
Sewn together as shown I think would eventually in a quilt would be too much white sewn together.
Can't wait to see the entire quilt finished.

Beautiful blocks just the way they are but you could interview the sashing to be sure which way to go.

If you want to try a "modern" quilt look, I'd leave off the sashing, otherwise, sash it. It's going to be beautiful either way!

First of all, Love your pattern! Your piecing is wonderful. I think I might just audition fabrics as sashing, then just as a border to see which you like best. I think no sashing would keep your stars the focal point, and then maybe a border to frame it all together. Whatever you choose it will be a "real looker"!
