Here is the latest photo of my 2.5 project Scrappy Christmas Cross. I have discovered that to make the crosses more noticeable, I should place the lighter squares near the red blocks of the cross. Don't think I am going to pick out what is done already, but I will make some adjustments to my layout from this point on. I have to admit, this pattern is a bit addictive.

Well, I have not been working on 2.5” project this last month, but I will make sure to have a project for next month. I have a baby quilt pattern all ready to make. So next month here I come.
    - I have been working on the r/w/blk blocks for my niece. I plan to have the top completed by next week. Then another week to quilt an e2e design on it. I’m out of practice on my FMQ quilting. So it’s e2e design here I go. When I get it done I will post a pic.

The only 2.5" project I am working on is the same pattern as WMUTeach's profile pic. I forgot the name of the pattern. This group had it as a mystery quilt years ago. I'm slowly working on it in blues. It is so easy and relaxing to work on in my spare time.

img_0217.jpeg Starting from the back, which is hanging at the right in the photo, the candies that matched the colors were chosen for this quilt. Currently sewing blocks together.

Yah, there you go Pet, happy lab and Crispy_Frog. Purposeful use of our little sweeties. I did make more blocks for my quilt this afternoon with the color adjustment. I like it better. More next week.

The pattern name for my avitar is Growing Up Odd. It is an old Wedding Dress Blue pattern that I modified to use 2.5 squares rather than 2" squares before we used it as a group sew along. All of the blocks are made from an odd number of little squares thus the name. Growing Up Odd from Wedding Dress Blue Another option that keeps popping up every now and again.

Dropped the three June birthday candy packets into the mail today!

I wish I had something to display for this month, but things are very hectic with the end of the school year. It happens that there’s a quilt on the design wall right now that uses 2.5” squares, so I’ll have to show it next time!

Oh, Quossum, you could show it now! As you see we are all showing quilts in progress.

Finally got internet! Here is two of 8 of the brown scrappy blocks. I have also different barn blocks I was thinking of putting inbetween. What color should I use for a sashing?

TravelingGramma- I love the subdued colors of your blocks. They look great with your panel. I'd recommend a rustic wood-looking or that brown barn red fabric for the sashing.
