Pins and needles - have a special can for them - so they won't get mixed back with the good ones!

Rotten thread, real linty thread ,whole spools if it's either or these.cheap fabric, small scraps of batting if they are to small to sweep the floor. dull or bent needles, broke irons. Test blocks I've made that are super ugly. I've learned that I'll never use it so I let it go.

I din this a lot when I hand quilted. I really helps the needle to glide thru the quilt.

I label the edge of the scrap with the type of stabilizer & toss all the scraps into one box. Stabilizer is too expensive to waste!
In my case I use it behind huge bed sized appliques. I use it by the yard and buy it on 30 yard rolls! Almost time to buy another box of rolls as I am down to my last roll.

Dull pins/used needles. I have a bag I put thread snippets in and drape them over bushes in the spring for birds' nests. It's fun to see the colored bits in their nests. I also have a flat rate box that I put small scraps/batting into. When it's full, I post here for those who make pet beds. I save selvages. Eventually I want to cover the cushion on my sewing stool. Empty thread spools go into plastic recycling. I try to recycle as much as possible.

OK, Holice, what do you throw away? We're waiting to hear.
