My heart and prayers go out to all the individuals afflicted by this horrible tornado - I watched on tv for an hour and felt sick to my stomach - so devastating; so much disaster, loss and too many killed or severely injured. Prayers to all.

I am about 2 hrs SE of Joplin. Fortunately for us we didn't get tornados, but we did have some severe thunder storms. And more are predicted for today. Am praying that everyone in storms path makes it thru ok.

I feel for everyone who has been affected by these storms but I have to agree with you Lynn. I feel we as a human race are playing a large role inw hat Mother Nature is now doing. We do not care for our Earth the way we should, we drill it, we let crap out in to the ozone, we burn things we shouldn't...she is just P!$$ed off at us and has had it.
My prayers continue for those affected and continue to be...I hope they find more survivors.

My heart is broken just thinking of all the terror the people of Joplin,Missouri have been through. Please hope that their nightmare will end.

Hi Riversong, I too am about 90 miles east/northeast of Joplin. Have family members in Springfield, Nixa and Ozark so was watching the weather continually last night from 5 p.m on. Heard this morning that 89 confirmed deaths and 25 to 30% of the city was destroyed.


I know we have a lot of Missourians on this board. I certainly hope they have all been accounted for.
