the arthritis in my neck is killing me!!! It is really becoming a huge problem for me. Do any of you have this problem? And what do you do about it? I've tried heat. I've tried ice. I've tried ibuprophen. I've tried tramadol. Nothing seems to help. I'm about ready to get some surgery, but would really rather not have to do that. Any ideas?

I've had traction in the past, and that helped at the time. I also wore a tens machine too.

How about acupuncture or chiropractic? I've used both and they've been helpful

Have you tried aleve or celebrex(don't know your allergiies if any)? I would also suggest an anesthesiologist that specializes in pain control. They are very good at managing all kinds of pain. Hope you feel better. PS...please don't even think of surgery at this point!~ I have worked with many of these doctors and they know what they are doing.

I have a problem with my neck that comes & goes. When it gets bad, I have to get out my special pillow which I got from a chiropractor yrs. ago. It is filled with some kind of shells & you can make it to conform to the space between my neck & the mattress so that my neck remains perfectly straight when I'm sleeping. This is the only thing - along with an Aleve tablet - that helps me.

I would get a chair that has me sitting higher than the sewing machine. Its much easier on your neck, shoulders, and back to look down. Check to see what your posture is now and see if any of it applies.

I'm sorry hubby has neck problems. I have severe back problems so can't sew for more than 30 min at a time.

Try massage, chiropractor and accupunture. There is also a homeopathic type of doctor that looks at the whole picture (diet, exercise, habits, sleep, meds, etc and makes reccomendations)
