Why keep a secret about something so lovely? If you give it to her now 'just because I love you' she will have eight extra months in her life to enjoy it.

I couldn't keep it a secret that long. I would "spring" it on her, and let her enjoy it, and maybe she will want to put it away over the summer and fall, then bring it back out right after Thanksgiving. Double joy!

I really like your quilt. I'm sure your sister will love it no matter when you give it to her.

(I second the "just because" gifts. They're the best)

I'd give it to her now, and find something else for Christmas,

it is lovely. I don't think we will tell if you want to use it before then!

It's a lovely quilt! If I were you, I would give it to her now. Keep the name and explain your original plan but I say there is no time like the present!

Super quilt. I have a hard time keeping things secret when I really want to give someone something. You both can get the pleasure now and when it's time for her to use it. Whatever you do I know that she will love it. BrendaK
