Hi Birthday swappers! I wanted to tell you I have just become the coordinator for the Boomerang swaps, due to Janice McC's retiring. She left big shoes to fill!
I asked WMUTeach if it was ok to post about the swap here, and she said yes. We have signups open now until Saturday night at 11:59 (9/10/22). There's a three month group and also a two month group. We still have room in both groups for anyone who may want to join. It's a really fun swap and great community! You can read about it here, if interested:

I know some in this group have done a Boom swap in the past....Come join the fun!

And late August like me!!

And the Boom sway is awesome - I have been doing it for years. it has taught me so many things - especially at how I look at a piece of fabric and design. It is so fun to see 20 different blocks and patterns made from the identical piece of fabric.

Just popping in to say that I'll be setting up for the Winter candy swap. I'll post more about it later.

Sent more candies out Monday!

I'm not sure if this was mentioned previous because I haven't been on in a while, but I was listening to the American patchwork quilting podcast, and they mentioned they were doing a scrappy quilt using 2.5'' squares. But I'm not sure where on their website to go to look at it.

Logcabin82 (Love the otter stamps. They are so cute.)
I'm always trying to find fun stamps for my packages. I keep meaning to ask you if your are part of any quilting guilds? I am in two in Lansing, that I like.

LogCabin82, yes I am a member to two groups. They are not officially guilds in the official sense. One group is in Vicksburg about 15 minutes from home and 40 members. The second one in Shipshewana and about a hour away from home and I am guessing there are about 60- 70 members. There is a a very large guild in Kalamazoo that has 300 + members and that is a true guild but I like the smaller size of my groups.

Logcabin -- if Sewbizgirl has no one that is collecting stamps in her family, I'll ask her to send the Boom stamp to you. Do you have any particular collecting themes? I was collecting stamp-themed fabric for a while to overlap two of my loves.

Happylab -- your bday candies arrived! Thank you!

Macybaby -- I am going to start tracking down xmas themed fabrics here as my entire xmas stash is not handy at all -- 10 hours away!
