Glad you were able to get your machine to behave, Janice. Whenever I've had skipped stitches it was always some combination of thread size and needle size that needed to be tweaked. It's frustrating when the machinery won't do what it's supposed to.

Terri, be sure and tell your GD to have people leave 1/4" all the way around when they sign the blocks. Non quilters don't think about the seam allowance.

Driving home from Memphis to Mississippi today. It's a beautiful day for a 3.5 hour drive!

Here I go........All Done Boomers! Into the mailing box and off to the post office on Wednesday. Oh and I did a redo one the Rockwell block.

A while back we were chatting about the Pladish quilt and mine was finished but sitting and simmering while it was waiting for the binding. Now, bound and all I need is the label but don't know who will be getting it.I may just do a generic label and let it be at that. Certainly a pattern I would do again!

Duckling - redo, Have4boys, Rebaquilts, SusieQOH, and Pladish

Congratulations on your finishes, both your Boom blocks and your Plaidish quilt! Great job on everything. I’ll change out your block for Duckling and add the others tomorrow.

WMUTeach your blue Norman Rockwell was fine. Why did you think to change it to gray? Well I like both of them - a modern block style is always fun with the traditional blocks. I can't wait to do a Pladish quilt too. Great job!

Here's the second one for Cheesehead.

Duckling your comment made me smile. I did not change the blue only the arrangement of the last row. It is still blue. A camera lighting illusion with the color.

Just spent the last few eons this morning chain piecing 120 half units together. Omgosh. Now I remember why I don’t do much chain piecing.

Cyrano is eating but now he’s sneezing. Good grief. Now what? It’s gorgeous outside. Time for a long walk to get out of the house.

Great blocks, WMUT, and congrats on finishing! Your Plaidish is lovely!

Janice, once my kitty had a sneeze and she wouldn't stop sneezing. I took her to the vet, where he extracted a long blade of grass from her nose! Apparently, she was eating grass outside and got one blade stuck in her nose. The vet said he'd read about that, but never seen it in person until then. Check Cyrano's nose...

WMUT, great finish!

Sewbiz I am going to tape all the blocks a quart inch in. I tried to do signature squares for my dd’s wedding and people signed all over the signature square seams. Learned the hard way.

After 4 days of non stop rain the sun is shining brightly in the sky, a welcomed relief.

Well today was productive for me but my cats just slept the whole day. I feel like joining them and it's only 8pm! I stuffed and cooked my 13lb turkey that I got at Meijers for 49 cents a pound! Since I live alone and dont always get asked anywhere I wanted to take advantage of the cheap price on meat. I cut and finished 2 more blocks - Sewbiz girl and Logcabin82. Two more to go and they should be out the door tomorrow if I can make the postal time. I saved the hardest ones for last - well most challenging material patterns and designs. But I like it because it gets those creative juices really going!
