Do you add a label on every quilt you make?

Do you attach it BEFORE quilting or After?

What form of label do you use? - on the roll, customized, embroidery the name or write it?

I attach mine first then do the quilting right through it. Then it can't fall off. I heard this tip on Simply Quilts I think.
I usually just iron freezer paper to the wrong side of white muslin, put a piece of lined notebook paper behind that, hold everything up to the window so I can see the lines, and, using a permanent type pen, write my info. But I've also used the fabric kind that come on a roll.

I add on almost all, I just made a quilt for a friend to give to someone else. I didn't put a label on that one. I make my own labels I will make up a small label to match the front.

I add a label after the whole quilt is done. Sometimes I put one away without a certain person in mind.

The Amish is our area simply write on the back of the quilt. Initials and the date.

I label every quilt. I use ink jet fabric & do several labels per sheet then cut apart & border w/some fabric from the quilt & attach by hand after quilting.

Always add one, depends on size of quilt and functunality of quilt what I use and where I place.

I just found that June Tailor's website has quilt labels you can print onto fabric and use. I think they're free too!
There could be other sites too.
When I'm ready to label this king size quilt I've been working on (if I live that long...lol) I'm going to try one of these.

I put labels on my larger quilts, the art quilts I sign and date on the front. I need to start putting labels on those, too.
