Thankyou so much Deb.... I really enjoyed your tutorial.
Great job at making this very clear to understand.

Thank you, Deb, from all of us who are video-instruction-challenged. I prefer having the information at hand, if for no other reason than to look back and see what I did wrong. You folks are so generous and so thoughtful! I love you all! (But I'm spending way too much time on the board lately - and it's all your fault, of course.)

Well--I obviously got this attached to the wrong message. My apologies. I do like the 10 minute block and have made it several times. These directions are wonderfully clear.

I did wonder what you were referring to....but then, I figured you must have developed another great pattern combining both blocks!

Thank you so much for the tute! I was having difficulty figuring out how the bow tie block (which the 10 minute block looks like) could take only 10 minutes. How simple, with no set in seams! Thanks.

I've seen lots of post mentions of 10-minute blocks, but this is the first explanation I have seen! Only place instrtuctions lost me was pic #6, but I can figure it out from the next one.

It does look like the top fabric is attached to the left side. I should have made that a little more distinct.

This is a video of Suzanne McNeil demonstrating the making her 10-minute block.

    Hope this helps.

It is possible. I ordered the book from Amazon and there was one or two quilts made (and instructions for) with the "window" in each corner! It was beyond my beginner capabilities, but I'm sure anyone with more than a year under their belts could do it.

    OK Deb,

I will let you know if I figure it out... I think I may have to do some un-sewing in order to add on to my 1 block I have made.

Thank you for the tutorial! I used it on my Nov/Dec doll quilt, combined with three-d pinwheels (also found that tutorial on this board) and while I wasn't overly thrilled with my placement of the fabrics I think it turned out pretty good!

If you hadn't posted this I do not think I would ever have found it on the net, thanks again!

Deb I saw this block here and sawthe you tube video. This block is so much fun. I have about 30 done for a quilt. I used moda 5 inch squares that i wasn't sure what to do with and I taught my mom and she has a whole quilt top done. This is a great quilt for beginners as well as someone who needs to get the interest back again. thanks

I used this exact same block to make a 3-D tie wallhanging. I used three inch blocks. and the bow ties are actual ties that I cut up. It's one way to use this block.

What a grand idea... I have made bow tie quilts with the set in seams...this would be faster and it looks so good. Great Job!!
