OK. I'm not done. I've learned 4 things about my scraps: they're the wrong size for this, they are mostly light (hooray for the next clue), they are mostly blues/purples, and there are few small prints. Still have 2 sets to go, but absolutely no more scraps that fit the requirements. So that will give me something to look for on the Florida Breeze Shop Hop this weekend. (Ssshhh...don't tell the Fabric Moratorium folks!). I also learned that I need to get going on some projects that are just 'sitting.'
Hope the picture doesn't come out too large. Happy sewing, train riders! Do we need more pecan pies or maybe some red velvet cake (got that already, think I'll bring that). Later, gators!

Coopah (Carol): What happens on the train, stays on the train. I have the same problem with the size, for some reason I never cut my scraps into 3.5 inch squares. I did have 5 inch squares though and I'm just cutting those down. Before I actually started looking, would have been sure I had plenty of dark.

Someone asked about sending photos with their iPad. My recommendation for this is if you have another way to post photos then don't use your iPad.
Using your iPad you cant re-size the photos, also it is almost impossible to get them the right side up, also if the lighting is not perfect you just can't get a clear picture.
You have to take your picture with your iPad, then get online with the iPad and sent the photo using the ipad. If this is still what you want to do then PM me and I will do what I can to give you instructions.
Sorry to be so negative but you can't imagine how long I have been trying to send photos with my computer.

It used to be very easy to post pics from my i-Pad but for some unknown reason I have not been able to for a few months. I think I will try making a pinterest board for my pics I want to post here. Maybe the powers that rule will allow that since they don't seem to like pics from facebook.
You should see how hard it is to type with a DGD who want to hold hands! She's such a sweetie!

My picture above is from an iPad. I had no trouble posting it as long as I began the post with the "Go advanced" button. Maybe a little large, but at least everyone can see how screwy my sewing is! Thaks, Emma for the comment! I mostly end up with strips and most are 2.5 or 2.0. Need some variety! Cutting down 5" is a good idea...not that I have any!

I had trouble posting pix, too, until I read Tartan's thread on the QB help section. Works for me now, easily. HTH. Love all the 4 patches showing up. Wondering if I have the persistence to do a "real" scrappy as well as the sorta holiday theme I have in mind....Hmmm....

Lynnie, your comment about the school uniforms made me lol!! (from a few days ago) Public schooler here.

Hehe, I have scraps of that green kitty fabric too. It didn't make it in yet, but most likely will at some point.

Sadiemae, the 2-1/2" pieces you are to be on the look out for should be darks, mediums, maybe some bright, preferably smallish prints, maybe some tone on tone.
