Judith, I sometimes get intimidated by the way the blocks look too and then I procrastinate. Right now I'm procrastinating on Bird's Nest. I procrastinate and then when I get around to actually doing them, they are never as hard as they seem.

    Hi Lara,

I have this book and love it! The letters are very interesting to read and the blocks gave me some inspiration for my Boomerang 5 swap (just finished it recently). I didn't get the book with the idea of making the quilt, but just as a block reference with perks!

    hugs, Jupiter

I couldn't find a picture of the quilt made with the patchwork heart - but I've also included a picture of the 121 blocks made into a quilt. I think mine will look very different made with the pink and purple batiks.

Anyway - back to PH! I am not going to start a new project until I finish this one! ;-)

I am still feeling funky . . . . but, I was in the mood to make another block!

Judith, I'm glad you were in the mood to sew - the block is beautiful! I love the yellow and blue together.

Jupiter - some of the letters are so compelling! I am finding myself caught up in the letters as much as the blocks!

Judith your blue and yellow block is lovely. Those colours are always a favourite of mine.

For whatever reason I have been in the mood to work on my pieced applique! I liked this square in spite of the tediousness of the method I am using.

The colors are not even like in real!

Love this one too. You must have a very nice stash of batiks to dip into.

When you are on a roll it's good to just go with the flow.

DH's birthday today so we are taking goodies in to the hospital for him. What a bummer being in hospital for Fathers Day and then your birthday as well.

Happy Birthday to your DH from us! I sure do hope his big gift is his getting better and better! I am wishing good things for you, too. Hugs, Judith

Thanks Judith. I told DH we will have to celebrate his birthday again once he is out of hospital.

Beautiful star Judith! I especially love that swirly gold batik. I can't wait to see your blocks all together. Maybe you could give us a sneak peak of what you've done so far?

Deecee - hope your husband is continuing to improve and you get to have your second birthday celebration with him soon!
