Hayjude, welcome! You will have to buy the book The Farmer's Wife Pony Club Sampler Quilt. You can order it from here: http://thefarmerswifequilt.blogspot.com/
That's where I got my book. In the book is a cd with all the patterns.

A friend delivered my book yesterday and I loved it. Much improved over the Farmers wife sampler quilt copy, I am haivng fun looking at it and printing off patterns and hints from the CD. I even recommend the book for everyone's enjoyment...only requirement maybe is the love for children or their own childhood even if it was different...and they lived in town.

I can associate with the childrens love for their ponies as we had shetland ponies in our childhood days. And this group on QB was the best to give hints or encouragement on the FW quilt we did together.

Some blocks require a certain amount of self confidence, like Elsie's Favorite. So here I am, sitting at the computer, playing some silly games while convincing myself I can do it.......I've cut a few parts and started sewing and it went well - so far so good. I know I did this before, but that doesn't help as the result wasn't what I wanted. So now I have to go back to the sewing machine and sew another curved part on a curved part! Lucky me, I have to leave in half an hour, this afternoon I have a meeting And tonight I have to go to my French class so no time to sew curved parts!

So, this is what I have now. It doesn't look like the block is going to be square when finished. I might need my ripper !

Oh, boy, Anael, looking at the blocks you've done I already feel intimidated! I just ordered the book but now I'm having second thoughts about undertaking this project. Some of the blocks look so complicated and will certainly test what little skills I have. Here's hoping I don't get discouraged too early in the game!

Evie, you won't. Just do it and you'll be fine. Start with the easy ones and try a harder one if you feel like it. Most of the blocks are not that difficult to do. And we will be here to help you when we can.

Grabbing your hand Evie ........ figuring that if we hold hands we won't run away together from Y's and curves and .....!!!!!
I keep getting these 2nd thoughts too, as to "what have I got myself into?" ........ and keep trying to convince myself this is how I will grow to be a better quilter.

    ya right ..... talk's cheap!

Don't despair, it was my mistake. I should have looked at the picture which I didn't. So now I have to cut out one part again because it stretched too much and I should be fine and so should the Elsie's Favorite block. And yes, after doing this I might have the courage to make one of the Sylvia blocks I ran away from for a long time.

Oh Anael those are spectacular blocks. You are so ahead of us! I enjoyed doing the FWS blocks and am looking forward to the PC ones. Only 1 1/2 months to go everyone, and with the holidays they will go quickly!
