Good Morning, a sunny day in WNY with a bit of a breeze. Instead of toast and peanut butter for breakfast I've switched to scrambled egg with a slice of cheese melted over it. I'm really watching my carbs and see the results on my morning weigh-in. I'm finally not as hungry throughout the day as I used to be. I keep a snack in the refrigerator and almonds in my desk drawer. I find I'm drinking more water and that's a good thing. I'm busy keeping track of dad at rehab and mom at home so I don't have time to worry on my weight. Someone asked how the wedding plans are coming for DD and that will fall into place as well. I have a wonderful group of friends that are going to help me with the food and serving, everything is at the farm. Yesterday a friend offered to help with the table runners for the reception and I just might take her up on it. Have a wonderful day all.

Kathleen yes great idea. It isn't a diet it needs to be a lifestyle change. You need to eat healthier everyday. Limit your treats. A diet is temporary.
OMG school today was a zoo. Not for the usual reasons. So bad we all joked we were going home and calling off tomorrow. Teacher emailed principal and director of special ed. We kinda feel like no one cares about our class. Yesterday one of the kids had diarrhea mom said was from the antibiotics he was on. He also had major case of pink eye. We had to change his diaper and pants 3 times. Nurse kept saying he was fine. Another kid (who usually has major constipation) messed himself twice. Nurse also said he was fine. Today first kid was out with major diarrhea and pink eye.... well duh. Second kid was there with diarrhea. Nurse said no fever... he is fine. Teacher overruled her and sent him home. Good because he messed himself again right before mom got there.... no more clean clothes to put on him. One of our kids in a wheel chair ( spends part time out) was so mean today several of us are covered with scratches. Other kid in wheel chair diaper leaked and while teacher was changing him.. another kid got a bloody nose and sneezed all over me and sprayed my shirt and pants with blood. Lucky i had my exercise clothes in the cart. Other kid (mom says is potty trained not that we have ever seen)came in underwear for the first time today. Peed all over the carpet. The janitor came with a mop and bucket to clean it up. Sloshed some water on the carpet, smeared it around with a mop and attempted to soak it up with a mop. Declared the spot clean and sterile.
Instead of going to the bar like we all wanted, we all did a bootcamp class after school. Then I came home and had a piece of chocolate. Hopefully tomorrow will be better.(can't get much worse)

So sorry for your horrible day, Pat. Stinky, gross and disgusting! I don't know how you do it! I would be gagging and probably throwing up to add to the mess.
I have been doing very well with my eating lately. The challenge from my sister has really motivated me. Woohoo!!
Oh, almost forgot to tell you. My Ireland quilt is quilted. She delivered it this morning. It looks great! I'll show you after I get the binding on.

Meanmom, I was laughing to myself reading about your day. I am sorry, but I also taught special ed. for 15 years, and it is never boring lol.... Hope you have a more calm day tomorrow.

Pam sounds like you are doing great. Your quilt must be really pretty.

We were kinda laughing about yesterday today in school. It was such a mess what else could we do. We had 3 of our 8 kids out sick today. The teacher spent all day today complaining about about parent s sending their kids sick. She is the sickest one there. She has a sore throat is is coughing awful. I tried to stay away from her. NEver a dull moment in our room.
I am making a quilt for my nephew. He is paying me to make it. I have too many nieces and nephews to make one of them for all of them. I am a little bit short on one of the fabrics. I need about a 1 1/2 x 5 inch piece. I even dug thru my trash looking for scraps to use. I can't remember where I bought it. I do know I bought all of the fabric at the same place. So far I have been to 3 quilt shops without finding it. The other shop has closed and she is sort of running it out of her house while she looks for a new location. I am having trouble catching up with her. Pretty sure now that is where it is from. The quilt will work without the fabric but will look much better with it. The fabric is kind of like fairy frost but it isn't.I also looked in the trash for the selvages to identify. Darn I knew there was a good reason not to clean up my sewing room. It is gone.
I gotta get the chocolate candy out of here. My DD still hasn't had the baby. She says tomorrow because it is a full moon.

Pat, my daughter went into labor after eating Mexican food with a lot of hot sauce and then ate half of a fresh pineapple. Her water broke about 20 minutes after eating the pineapple.
    Good luck finding the fabric!

meanmom, I hope you do find your fabric. Is your daughters due date here now? I know it is close anyway. When it was time for my (now grown son) to be born, I didn 't know if he was ever going to come. They finally broke my water in the specialist's office they sent me to, and on the way home my then husband hit something with his car, and the doctor said I would have him that night. Not So! Then so many days later finally put me in hospital and started labor. I was a month late. I was mostly in hard labor for 7 hours. He was healthy though.

Pretty fabric Cindy. I was down another lb. this week( total 28.6), and my total inches lost are 31 3/4. The weather is beautiful here today. Still cool, in the 60's but the sunshine looks and feels great! Hope everyone is doing okay. For some reason, April has been a hard month for me. I've been up then down a pound every week since April 1st. Finally going back down now. I don't know what the deal is with my body. I think it is fighting me. I'm still losing inches so I'm okay with the scales not moving enough. I'm getting into clothes that are in my closet that I haven't worn for a while. I'm not giving in and I'm not going to quit. I've come too far and feel so much better. I made some "parsley tea" the other day. It's supposed to help flush out your system. I bought a bunch of it and washed it, then put it in a pot of water. I brought it to a boil , the let it steep for about 10 minutes. I only drank about 2 oz. I really don't like the taste. It did have a "cleansing effect" on me if you get my drift. It's supposed to wash out toxins in your body. I guess I'll drink some more, but only during the day when I'm going to be home. haha

    Everyone have a great weekend.

Hi everyone. My grandson has finally arrived. After a pretty long labor he arrived last night. He doesn't have a name yet but he is so sweet. She had to push for hours. They thought he was posterior but he had his hand on the side of his head so he just wouldn't come down. So stubborn just like his mommy. Mommy and baby are doing well. He is 9 pounds 3 oz. Can't wait to get him home.
