Now I know why I can't stay focused when I am sewing. I'm worried about how I look if someone stops over. Mrs. Cleaver I will never be.

Oh that's so funny! Guess I better go tidy up and lose the yoga pants! I remember watching those old TV shows where June Cleaver would be washing the floor in a dress & heels. Change is good :-)

That's too funny! But actually, some of it's true for me. I can really relax and enjoy my time in my quilt room so much more when I've gotten at least some of the essential stuff done around the house. As for the whole having my hair done and lipstick in place . . . ummm, I don't think so!

The best part is the comments on the web site link. I love the one where the woman writes about disussing the old days with her 86 year old mother in law! What a hoot!

Where ever you got the thingy about sewing, there's more to it. There's a part about doing your make up & putting on a clean dress before your Dh gets home from work...& a part about don't bother him with your silly little problems...he's had a hard day...TOO funny! I think it all came from a 1950's Home Ec book. My son showed it to me once somewhere online & we laughed about every part of it!

    Wink

If I did all that I wouldn't find time to do any sewing.

Well I'm in trouble -got no pearls-got no dresses unless flannel nighties count and when I brush my hair my little dog gets excited because he knows we're going bye-bye..I'm afraid Mrs Cleaver would have her work cut out making me presentable to any of my sewing machines

I guess it's a good thing we don't have to skype to interact on the Board!
