So I guess I would say that the part about the new board that I don't like is the sadness I feel when members have the tools available to make it easier for them but aren't giving it a try.
It sounds reasonable enough, however, it is so dizzying that it has taken a while to find the fact sheet. Complaining should be understood by those who made the changes and by those put in responsible positions of weeding through all of the complaining. Complaints are not necessarily a bad thing.

Fastest way is to go to the very, very top of any page (where it says Welcome, Dodie) and click the down arrow of Notifications. Then click Inbox and you're all set.

Being that my husband is a computer guru and has redesigned many websites for clients who paid through the nose for substandard work elsewhere, I can see that a large amount of work was put into the new format to give it a more polished and professional appeal ( this is not to knock the original designer just observation) Take a moment to look around the site and get familiar with it before jumping off the deep end chnage always means adjustments. The one thing I do agree with is bright white background on the posts is a bit harsh and could use some softening. Thank you

exclamation points or dots work great for this.

Seems like the biggest complaints are the background color and the unread topics. So maybe they could work on these issues first. The cream color is better then the white but it still needs to be a bit darker, it still gives me headaches. Yes, there is a way to change it on you computer but I don't want to change ALL my pages on my computer just this one. I also miss the unread topics. I would get on here and read them several times a day. The what's new is not even close but it's better then going to each section.

I miss the fact that I can't tell when my "buddies" are online anymore. They are listed as my contacts...but does not indicate if they're on line so we could chat.

    Default Since You Asked...

My email no longer notifies me of new posts unless I go through a time wasting process. And, if I do go through the cumbersome process and hit the back button to get back to the thread, it won't go back, so I have to scroll through all the postings to find the thread (I'm taking a deep breath) and it's quite frustrating!!!

Get rid of the envelopes. This isn't a techie forum, for heavens sake!

    Keep it simple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a hard time finding the pictures, my favorite on the board. When the pictures came up, there showed 300 some. Does that mean ones I haven't looked at as there were several days before I could get on while they were updating. I also can't tell which ones I have already read when I go out and come back in. The new board will take some getting used to, but I know there must be a lot of new things we didn't have before.
