I know what you mean about the resident spirits. Yesterday I lost the dish cloth! Where the heck did it go? Found it today when I turned on the garbage disposal. "Hello, Mr. Plumber?"

Trust me, you can hide things better in small houses. When I moved from 3000 square feet to 1000, I found stuff stacks up deeper now whereas it was spaced out in the big house.

Hav you checked your car? Just in case it never made it into the house. I did that once. I could have sworn I had brought it in the house. But, No. Husband kept telling me to look in the car and I told him (several times) I was sure I had brought it in. Guess who was right? Not me!

Could it still be in the store bag? Look for bag instead of hoop?

Try the St. Anthony prayer: St. Anthony, St. Anthony, please come around. Something is lost and must be found. Please help me find "_____" - fill in the blank. I know people who swear it works.

Lasy year I put a request here to help find my envelope of quilt photo's --so upset when lost. Guess what, last week had to move file cabinet when I dropped something. LO and behold there was the photo's envelope standing upright.
So happy that I actually hadn't "lost" it. Could show ladies in my charity group that I really sewed quilts and jackets.
    Good luck looking!

Join the crazy group. I bought fabric to make a Christmas wall hanging. I had the pattern with it so all would be together when I was ready to sew. Well, I went to get the fabric and start, but I could not find it. I looked that room over several times and my DH even looked and he can find anything no luck. Yesterday I was sewing and looked at the shelving across the room just in front of me. On the bottom shelf was the Christmas fabric and the pattern, laying there in plain sight. Boy, did I feel dumb.

Is is small enough and flat enough to be hiding between layers of fabric? Standing on edge between books or in a stack of magazines? I know your frustration, as I have gremlins in my house too. Good luck. Watch your dreams for an answer. Your subconscious mind knows where it is. ;)

Bet you put it in what we call "a safe place, so I don't lose it", after which it never sees the light of day again - because we can't remember where the safe place is!

My kids will laugh their butts off when they pack up my house after I've gone to my reward...
