Started 2 mos before my 70th b'day. Bought FQs and make a lap quilt--pieced & quilted by hand. Then DS bought me a kit for a 46X46 quilt--again did all by hand. Now have handpieced a q-size for our bed & getting ready to put on frame. Find it very relaxing but addictive. Glad I found all of you since I've gotten a lot of good tips.

Hi there, welcome to the Quiltingboard. I enjoy it very much too. No, I don't think we are ever to old to learn. You have a long time to enjoy the art of quiltmaking. I know what you mean, it is addictive for me too.

Welcome from Montana! I wish I had the patience for hand quilting - it's gorgeous. But life is too short to do things you don't enjoy. So I'm glad you do it just so I can enjoy looking at it!!! Send pictures!

Hi, and welcome from Arkansas! And you're right, we're never too old to learn as I am proof (O.k., well, I started at 48 :) ). Glad you're here!
