I own an Janome 11000se and the first time I did some embroidery I had this problem (tried 3 separate embroideries and had same problem) so I took it to my Janome dealer and he did some adjustments to my machine, and it hasn't happened again.

I agree this has been my experience with that also. I have the "old" Janome 9000. Check your hooping. But your stabilizer is a big part of how good your embroidery comes out. Good Luck.

A question I was going to ask is where did you get the design, some times freebies are not the best designs and can be off, but designs from JUJU are good desgins I have a ton of them from her, so the answer is as you know by now is that you didn't have it stablized enough did you have it tight in your hoop? If it isn't hooped tight the stitching will start to pull on the materal and cause the pucker like you are seeing so on top of good stablizer make sure your hoop is tight so the material won't slip. You can also try a basting stitch around your design. I don't know if you have softwear for color change ect. I have Designers Gallery it has an auto baste stitch I donn't hoop much any more just my stablizer then spray it and attach my item and then do a baste stitch around it. I haven't had that problem in a long time. Even if you do hoop your material have good stabalization under it for the extra little thread it uses try the baste stitch it helps keep the material nice and tight.

The embroidery classes I have taken suggest when you are doing a heavy embroidery (number of stitches is high) that you need a heavy duty stabilizer. I prefer the kind that is sticky on one side. They also said, just to be sure - use 2 layers of stabilizer. I think you will like the results if you try these suggestions - heavy duty and/or double layer of stabilizer. Good luck!

I'd write to Juju and ask her about it. She is really responsive. In addition to keeping your fabric and stabilizer really tight, you might want to lay a piece on the top as well. You can use wash away or a very light weight tear away.

Try using a sticky stablizer and not hoop the fabric and then maybe a light weight tear away under the hoop. I agree, use pen to fill in.
