My lines are straight....sometimes...as long as you don't look too hard. :) I think it's a garment thing. I started with sewing clothes and then switched to quilting. I have a fairly new Bernina (so, it's not my machine either :).)

stop watching your needle,it will sew fine. watch your seam guide, or the edge of your fabric. my first machine 42 years ago, i started sewing on note book paper to follow the lines. the slower i sew the more crooked it is.

You have lifted my spirits. I spend about 5 hours putting a binding on a pillow yes a pillow. I discovered I can't sew a 1/4 seam straight. I finally have my binding in place and just need to tack it down. Thanks for lifting my spirits. Glad to know that others aren't perfect straight line sewers too.

I think I sewed a straight line once, but can't remember when.

It's not only you...I've tried the little purple stick on strips, piled on those skinny little Post-It notes, etc. and still can't guarantee that I'll have a straight line...lol...but I keep trying, and when all else fails, I know I will have a date with "Jack-the-SeamRipper)   Naomi

I think that there are a lot of us out here that can't sew a straight line.
