Just like the old days when I was making dresses and skirts for school (yes to you younger quilters, at one time in the dark ages no pants/slacks/jeans allowed at school) and I loved sewing the hem, I enjoy the finishing touch of hand sewing the binding.

I'm with you, love to bind. Guess I like some handwork to do while watching TV - you really don't have to concentrate and it is just so relaxing.

I've tried to sew binding on by hand, but have never liked the way it looks. Guess I'm allways in too much of a hurry to take the time to hide all the stitches so that it looks good.

I also love to do the binding - first part by machine, second by hand.

Me too. And I like it too because it's the last step to a completed quilt!

I love doing binding---it is very satisfying to be finishing a quilt and see that binding!

I love sewing binding on by hand also- for the same reasons! Relaxing to sit and listen, and know that this is the last step!

If you are weird than I am too! I love doing the binding. It's the last step in creating the quilt and it's so relaxing to sit in my recliner and stitch it. And then I have the finished project on my lap to hug and cuddle :)

No, no, no.....you are not weird for liking to do the binding. I love to do the binding on my quilts. I might sound weird, but I just love doing it. Very relaxing, especially since you are near the end of completing another quilt, table runner, etc. Enjoy.......I do.
