I made a resolution not to make any resolutions because i don't seem to keep them anyway. However it is my grand intention to finish some of my UFO's. Goodness knows I have plenty of them. I sent out 13 crocheted afghans for Christmas and gave lots of Christmas stockings and Santa scarves so my gift cupboard is pretty bare now. Always try to keep a few things on hand for last minute gifts. I've just had cataract surgery and will need new glasses before I can see very well so everything is kinda on hold right now. But soon!

I'm going to try to use more of my stash, it's getting too big to handle.

To have some fun each day whether it be quilting or sitting with my DGD and just chatting. She likes to draw so we can sit while she draws and I sew.....sometimes we both sew but she has a lot of homework when school is in session. So that comes first. I think to just enjoy more of each day.

Make more charity quilts to support our millitary. Going hand in hand with that collecting a stash of patriotic colored fabrics to make the quilts to be donated. Make some quilts that I really want to do. Relax with the actual quilting and do less intriqued. Have fun quilting! Eventhough I have always donated quilts I really want to increase the amount I am doing.

I want to step outside of my comfort zone ... I always do the same things over and over because I am comfortable with it but I want to challenge myself to try something new! Recently I tried my hand at machine quilting and afterwards was amazed that I had been so afraid of it!

    1) My husband and I are setting up my sewing room. We have the paint and he bought me a flat screen tv for Christmas (no kidding! He's the best!!)
    2) Do more sewing and be creative with what I've got.

Get organized, quilt my growing stack of tops, do more charity type projects, and make a dent in my stash...and maybe decide if I have collected enough fabric to start the quilt I want to make for my bed.

Yes, I REALLY want to move forward with my Dear Jane. I have been making it for " awhile" now. I have introduced DJ into a few ladies lives and our New Year Resolution is to meet once every 6 - 8 weeks and give ourselves a goal. We all like different ways of putting the blocks together i.e hand / machine piecing - foundation, Hand applique / machine etc etc and we can learn from one another - so hopefully we will spur one another on, PLUS finish ALL my ufo's HA !!
