Memersmom - Great idea for the link. Have you started it yet?

As soon as I finish my coffee, I'm going to select some fabrics for the colors I was thinking of using, then I will take a pic and post that photo to get us started.

Would love to try this. I have never done anything like this and think that it would help me grow as a quilter. But before I commit I have some questions. How hard is it to follow directions without knowing what you are doing? Do I have to buy the material before I start or can I do it as I go along? I do not have much of a stash just left overs from projects. Is there anyone in the San Antonio region doing it? that way I can get help if I need too. I have never paper pieced before so how much of a hindrance will this be? See I told you I had questions. Thanks a bunch. I love you guys... Beth

I love her quilt patterns and have used them many times, I have never participated in a Mystery Quilt - that might be fun. Thanks for giving us the heads up.

Here's the link to the thread I set up http://www.quiltingboard.com/main-f1...ml#post4640638 . I was not able to post a photo...for some reason, they're all almost twice the size allowed in the new format.

To respond to quiltingfan...not hard at all to follow Bonnie's directions. Very clear, and photos, too. As for fabrics, she uses lots of leftovers and scraps, so don't worry if that is all you have, too. I'm not positive about this quilt, but I don't think there's any paper piecing involved (although you may be directed to use a paper foundation for a string block, if there is one), but there will be directions if there is, so it will be a good opportunity to learn something new (it's easy...If I can do it, anyone can!).

I'm excited. I've never done a mystery quilt before. I am playing it safe and sticking with her colors. I've never done a red, white and blue either. I have all my fabrics ready. I really ought to be working on other projects though. Thanks for posting this, it will be fun.

    Thanks, Jeanie

I would like to do one someday, just no time now. Looking forward to following along. Do your fabric scraps have to be organized? It seems like they would. just to make it easier. I have many many bins of fabric, just not organized.
