    Now, why didn't I think of that! I use Bonnie Hunter's tip with the painters tape to get an accurate 1/4" seam...I use the 2" tape for straight line quilting..now another use for painters tape. Thank you for the great tip !

    Great tip! I must admit, when I first saw your sewing machine surround, the hexagons reminded me of chicken wire - it threw me for a bit!

    I used to do that. In fact I drew a line directly on my Kenmore but since I use my FeatherWeight mostly now, I forgot. Well duh! I need to use some tape on my Singer 237 that I use mostly for binding. I hate drawing lines.
