    Easiest way to make templates is to copy or print the page they are on, then cover both sides of the page well with wide, clear packing tape. At least one layer of tape on each side and maybe two if you'll be using them a lot. I make stencils this way too. (Necessity is the mother of invention, right?)

    I keep an old CD in the sewing room for circles or scallops. Jar lids to hold pins, Mugs to hold pens, markers ,small rulers.

    I also have a decorative hook that I hang my long quilting measure tapes on. Better than keeping them rolled up in a drawer.
