You saved money by buying it at that price. Others will be buying it at $6-$8 a yard (that's what the price for better fabric at our new Walmart fabric dept now). When I find fabric for a drastic price cut it's not uncommon for me to buy $300 or more at one time. It's fun!

Dimondee, could you be a little more specific about the location of the WalMart you got so lucky at? I live half way between Binghamton and Syracuse. Thinking it might be well worth a little ride...... Also, your hubby might want to reinforce the floor joists too under the sewing room with a mother lode like that! Congrats on your winderful find.

And I thought my Wally world haul was bad! Or do I mean good? LOL! I found all kinds of nice yardage on clearance. Did you see the Simplicity rotary cutter machine for $15!! I had to snatch that up!

    Enjoy your goodies!

Wow, that's great! Our walmart has no fabric! When we lived in FL, the walmart there did, and I used to get a lot marked way down, some to 1.00 a yard. I like that David's Textiles, very good fabric in my opinion.

We have a new store (about 2 years old) that carries a better line and quality of fabric than the JoAnn's store does anymore. Much better prices too. I have found that not all stores around me have the same quality, but this new one is great. They had a line of Fabric Traditions fabric, that was heavier weight cotton than I have seen even in quilt shops. It was $7.99 a yard and fabulous fabric. I was quite shocked! Wally world is worth checking into.
