Has anybody made an Orange Quilt?

i love the quilt so pretty i pictured orange being gaudy but this is fantastic. I would suggest using green, purple, white and orange. Them do paperpieced Iris wall hanging, can do threee small ones separately. I have made 5 orange and gray quilts. My daughter's high school colors are orange and gray. We are in the process of making the seniors on the softball team quilts for their senior gifts for the end of the season. Orange is a great color to work with but very hard to find in our area.

I would suggest that you find a fabric that you like....something with a touch of orange but not overwhelming. If it is an accent color in the fabric, you'll pick up the color of the curtains without the quilt being overwhelming in the room. You want the quilt to flow with the room, not overtake it.

If you don't want to use too much orange you could add blue to the quilt. Blue is the complementary color to orange. I don't mean to get too technical but it's on the opposite side of the color wheel. You could use any shade of blue (royal, navy, turquoise, light blue, dark blue, etc.) and it would go with the orange. Good luck deciding what to do!
