I think I have been on probation ... but rehabilitation is not working. Seems I have issues with self appointed authority.
I never ever put labels on my quilts
I refuse to hand stitch any bindings
When in doubt I press seams open
I mix batiks with non batiks
I have never "blocked"a quilt or felt the need to
I use poly blend threads or whatever I have handy that matches.
I have no guilt or remorse for any broken rules

Yes I have sinned but am blissfully non - converted. happy to say "its all about ME" !!!!!

Just sign me "on the run"!

I don't fret if points aren't perfect, and I encourage people to place my quilts on the ground and actually use them!

I agree. Even if you just write basic information. After helping at our Historical Society's quilt documentation, it is not only helpful to "date" the quilt, but is so interesting and such a wonderful glimpse into our history, to have a name, date and place to put with a quilt. Please do it!

I haven't posted any pictures yet of my quilts so I don't have to be bugged by quilt police. I have a few mistakes now and then but that just proves that my quilt was hand made with love! To error is human and the only perfect person is God all mighty himself.

probably my seams and cutting off points. also my machine quilting is not that great.

If I had to sew the binding on one side by hand none of my quilts would ever be finished. Perfection is overrated.

I haven't put labels on my quilts but I use a permanent pen for material and sign them and date them. I figure this way my family will know a little about the quilt. I have some stashed so they don't really know how much I do quilt and buy fabric. I have turned into a fat quarter junkie!!!

Guilty of all of the above.

I worry about the quilt police so much that I stick to scrappy quilts that I "design" myself (meaning I don't plan them at all). Thus, I can say, "I meant to do it that way."

P.S. All of your replies have cracked me up. But I'm sworn to secrecy, so I'll never tell!

Yes to all of these. I once took apart a block FOUR times, and it still didn't turn out right, so I decided life is too short to care. (If you can't see it from a galloping horse and all that... LOL)

Although I've been known to hand stitch the odd binding, I can add these to my infractions too!

After seeing the recent quilt police stories I've been thinking I should take ALL my quilts down to the beach and put them on the ground, just for funsies! I wonder if we have Irish quilt police (probably not, given how little people value them around here anyway).

I put a dart in a block once to make it flatter, does that count as fudge?
