My good friend's husband died and she had this done. The quilt maker used flying geese with the geese being the shirts and a coordinating background, set in rows. The geese were large enough to show the fabric off to a good advantage and easily identify the shirt fabric, as that was really the point. He had all flannel shirts, and it was a very masculine quilt. The quilt maker used a plaid flannel for the border as well, but I don't think it was out of his shirts.

I did 4 small mem. quilts for a friends family. Make sure the shirts are cotton and not tees or knit. If you get those a diff. way is done. Like a iron on stablizer is used to stop the stretch. Good Luck. This is a very hard thing to do for someone you know. BillsBonBon

It is hard just handling his shirts. But I know the outcome will be nice. Thank you.
