I keep everything. I use the stings to put inside catnip toys I make for our local shelter.

I am a bad 1 for not keeping scraps, I throw it away if it is under 4" by 4". I actually think I have a bag of scraps that were given to me, they are somewhere but I will probably not use them.

I keep blocks that I don't like though or projects that were started by someone else who could not finish them.

I don't keep any scraps that are less than 1.5" wide. If I am not going to ever use a fabric, I sell it or give it to my best friends' church charity quilt group. I STILL have too many projects that I want to make.

I am new but I am finding that I don't like to toss any of it, not even the little clippings, I figure I can use those for stuffing any little things I make (which I made a little owl, and used clippings to stuff it, cute little owl... oh wait I might have a pic of it.... *checks harddrive*
These are also a great way to use up scraps (eyes can be made using felt instead of the buttons)

Found them... as you can tell they are small, make good cat toys, or keychain things (just need to add a loop to the top for the keychain thing)

I hand sewed it, went really quickly

Throw away?? Never!!! I do crumb, string, & crazy quilt blocks and I applique so I keep everything! Today I found some more patterns for scrappy quilts that use strips and small pieces that are really neat so I need more scraps!!
