funny you should ask. Sorting through my fabric today I found some old fleece and double knit my mom had from the late 60's and early 70's. I bet by the time I get through it all I will find some older stuff. I found my baby quilt top she never sandwiched from 1954. It was a dutch girl pattern. I am trying to decide if I should leave it as is or finish it.

Recently did a good clean out of fabrics.
    Needed space.
Got rid of good dress fabrics and anything old so that I just have fairly up to date fabrics. Someone made a killing from my yard sale as I also had cotton fabric for quilting. Can not part with some old feed sacks though.
My mom made a wedding ring quilt and used a lot of fabrics that I gave her in the 80s so that is the best memory of any older fabrics plus seeing some that I know she used for other things. With prices of fabrics sky high now I will be a little more selective. Not sure what fabrics she had when she passed away.
Someday I should go check out what my sister has of hers.
There should be fabric scraps from when she made clothes for my little sister who is now 54

Not counting feedsacks, probably 1940's or thereabouts, I have a few yards of wool purchased in Ireland in 1977 and recently found some quilting fabric with 1994 on the selvage. That's probably my oldest.

I am blessed with original feed sacks from my grandmothers mother which died in 1920, I am working on some wall hangings for my sisters so all can have some.

I have some feedsacks that were in my mom's stash of fabric when she passed away. Some are in blocks she had been working on when she died. I will cherish them always. I also have some that were from the 40's, 50's & 60's that were my grandmothers.

I dare say my oldest piece is thirty years old. I bought it for my daughter (who is now 29) and she didn't like it.

Mine dates back to the seventies. It's funny how my taste in fabric has changed.

I have Pendelton wool that my uncle sent to me from the Pendelton Mill, early 60's. I have six yards of navy blue, and no idea what to do with it. I'm not as navy person!
