We are scheduled to have a demonstration of one of our guild members apron collection. Another time, we had someone from a LQS show us all the gadgets that are out there for quilters. Hope you find some great mini presentations.

I would do a work shop on color. So many people are afraid to work with scraps because they do not know color and buy only kits or lines from a designer to avoid having to make a color choice

For a simple time filler. If a demo doesn't quite fill the time alotted. What about a cleavage cover, rug mug, review on setting triangles, how to use special rulers.

My guild has a UFO workshop every few months. We bring any "unfinished fabric object" and socialize while sewing.

I always like to think about the next generation of quilters...someone needs to put that spark there!
I would encourage a workshop for kids, (probably accompanied by an adult) LOL...
Maybe use pre-cut 5" blocks and just get them used to the basic idea of sewing a seam, or have guild members help cut fabric ahead of time?

How about a workshop on what can be done with Orphan Blocks (those blocks you make to try ou a pattern or audition fabrics). I use those blocks to make hot pads, pillows pockets on lap quilts, ets.
