I used to work black Friday sale at Joann's. We had 6 registers set up...cut, take the money...all in one spot. I have only gone to one black Friday sale...at a Walmart. I needed a new computer...went the day before to check the one that was to be on sale...nice for the BF price...so the worker (whom I knew) wrote my name on the one I wanted, since there were only two. HOLD for Campbell.... next morning...I get in a 5 am...go to get the computer, another sales rep said..."we have the computers in carts up front already." Box said it was the one I wanted...right ram, hard drive, etc...get it home...half of what was on the box...bait and switch...won't do BF ever again.

I went to one of the bigger JoAnn stores, and it was crowded but it went very smoothly, something they never did before was you take a number and go do your shopping and by the time your ready to be cut they call your name over the speaker, i like that, so it wasn't bad at all, i was able to get lots of flannell for pillowcases for Christmas gifts for the grandkids, and i bout quilted fabric to make my DIL an overnite bag, (she travels for work a lot), i will make her a mathcing shoe bag, the quilted fabric was 19.99yd and i bought 4yds, (just in case) with the half off coupon, made it 10.00yd and i could use the 25% off coupon, (It wasn't on sale) i made out very well.
I also bought wilton melting chocolate (25bags) i am going to make snowmen candy boxes, i think i need around 50 of them, we are going to my DIL house for Christmas Eve and her side of the family will be there as well as my side, then on Christmas day we are going to my sons girlfriends parents home. So it will be so much fun and this will be a cute and edible treat.
So I saved lots of money today and will go back on saturday to do it again.

I was in Joanns this morning .Bought 4 yds of $12.98 fabric at 50% off, plus 25% off everything before noon.(tax added would total $55.56) & final cost was $20.06. There were 4-5 shoppers in there, no crowds & took me 5 mins till out the door.

I went to JoAnnes this morning--Saturday--and the place was almost empty! Most of us who were there were after the $1.99 quilting fabric. We were sharing bolts because there were so few left. I bought a bunch of yardage for charity quilt backs--hard to resist at $1.99 per yard and a 25% off coupon to boot!!

I went with my sister. We each got 4 pieces of random material. The lines were horrid but we met a new friend. Went to check out and the cutting girl coded 2 of my cuts in 4 times, one twice and two of my sisters in twice too. Good thing we looked and made the clerk delete half the charges.

Went to JoAnns this morning for batting. It wasn't bad at all. I waited about 5 minutes to cut and 10 to check out.

They were low on batting. I got the last of the Warm and Natural.
