Only God's perfect. Our Guild has a design with one spot deliberately the wrong color on their aprons. I took a week long class with Alex Anderson and she said, "If you can't spot the mistake from across the street, the quilt's great."

in my opinion, yes, you made a mistake, but we are all human and this illustrates it, I know you are beating yourself up but you need to let it go.... not that first mistake you made nor the last...
laugh at yourself... and let it go

Guess you will just have to 'humble' yourself. Your quilt is wonderful and trust me that no one is going to notice it.

I don't think the baby is going to look that close, but he will think he has the best auntie ever! Quilting isn't a perfectionist hobby. Only God is perfect, so let go and enjoy the compliments that are sure to come. It's a darling quilt. The monkeys are really cute.

I'm a perfectionist also, but there are some things I am learning to let go. I just made a throw with a pieced backing, and noticed after sewing several strips together, that one of the strips was upside down, so I sewed the corresponding strip upside down also, instead of taking out the first wrong one. Who will ever care except me?

It's for a child, and a boy at that. He'll never care. Let it go!
