My favorite magazine is Australian patchwork and quilting. It is actually cheaper at the LQS than to get a subscription. Shipping from Australia to the US is very expensive. There is a way to get it thru Canada that will save but still cheaper at the LQS. I look thru it before I buy and don't get them all. They seem to have the kind of patterns that I like. I have used many patterns from the magazine. Also good inspiration

Love Quilt Sampler & a new one-- Primitive Quilts & Projects. Got my 1st copy & LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Check it out on the internet. They also have a woolen shop. Great projects if you are a primitive quilter as I am. Don't like to many of the other ones, too bright & goddy quilts in them for me.

I rarely buy magazines anymore...but do love the Quilt Shop magazine, and the new Primitive Quilting magazine...not really primitive, but lots of quilts that are in the style that I like.

McCalls and Better Homes and Gardens are my favorites. Fons and Porter are more artsy than I usually like. I am a sucker for books and have more on my list that I want to make than I can ever get done. I have ended a lot of magazine subscriptions as they have run out. I don't miss them at all but I do love getting a quilt magazine.

All good comments and about those ads. Save the hard paper to use to cut out pattern pieces. I find that they are easier to throw away when worn. I will try our Goodwill but I get good ideas from McCall's especially the layout. I take a diagram and tape it to the machine table to keep the pattern design.

I have the American Quilter Society's magazine, but am going to let the subscription run out, as I learn so much from the board and the blogs I read that I have more than enough information to keep me busy forever. Love the quiltingboard, spend more time here than the quick flip through the magazine. If I feel the need for seasonal ideas, I will what others suggest and use a coupon at JoAnn's on a magazine.
