Default making a 60 degree table runner Help!

I am trying to make this table runner, I don't have a pattern I have just watched a video on you tube.
are the end triangle suppose to match, I have tried everything I can think of to match them and they still don't match. The lines match but not the flower parts.

Is this right or am I doing something wrong..Maybe I should just break down and buy the pattern ...Please excuse my messy ironing board ....Thanks

it is difficult. you must mark a flower or what ever part of the design on your template or ruler and cut all pieces with that in place to match. it looks very well so far, I wouldn't worry about it. the fabric is lovely.

I'm not that careful. I just let them fall where they may.

I just match the most obvious design element which in your runner is the lines.

I th8nk it looks fine and you’ll be happy with it when it’s quilted. I agree that matching the lines is the most important thing.

I've made several of these, and unless you have lots of extra fabric, you won't be able to get them to match up perfectly. You will end up wasting a lot of fabric. Like Tartan mentioned, if you match up the lines, the rest of it flows nicely! I think it looks wonderful the way it is, and once it is quilted and puffy, you'll barely notice!

Firstly - the runner looks great! I love the fabric and the way it turned out. Like Tartan, I too just match the obvious design elements. There is almost no possible way to have everything match.

I think it looks terrific ! and I agree with the others matching the lines makes it work perfectly.

Looks great to me. Never made one and won't, can't keep newspapers and such off the table long enough to put a runner on it.

I think it is gorgeous just as it is, but if you're determined to make it match perfectly, you could try moving the right side up maybe a half inch to an inch and see if that works.
