I am a collector to but Lately I have been finishing my projects. I keep telling myself "I have to finish current project because next idea is waiting". It gets me finishing them but does not stop me from buying more. Its a never ending cycle. But its fun.

You know I think I am also a collector. I have about 10 boxes of fabric that I got at a garage sale. These boxes were about $4 each. I know I am not going to use all of that fabric. I might just give it away just to free up some space. You know I don't know if I am a collector or a hoarder in fabric. lol

About once a year, I take out my stash, run it through the washer and dryer, iron it and rearrange it. It takes a few days, but has advantages
    1. It can prevent buying the same fabric more than twice.
    2. You can find some really good stuff in there that you didn't remember
    3. You can feel complacent that you are avoiding ruining the fabric by refolding it in a different place.
    4. You can admire those beautiful or sentimental pieces that you just can't bear to cut. We all have them.
    5. You can give those fabrics that you just don't love anymore to a new loving home.
    6. You can decide that aqua really goes with blue and not green, or vice versa.
Probably started when I concluded that it wasn't really sneaking fabric into the house if it was pre washed and ironed before DH got home from the golf course.
