This year I've made "Small Quilts" for all the daughters and DILs, I started them months ago and just stuck them away. I'm making PJs for some of the grandkids (the mid-age ones). I've finished a Jeans quilt for my oldest grandchild's dorm bed. That took a while. I'm also in the middle of two large stuffed dolls who children can button, tie shoes for etc. Those are for two of the little ones. And IF there's still time I'll be doing potholders for friends and my guild's Christmas party. Otherwise it'll be fat quarter gifts for them. I made a cute dress and jacket plus hat for our newest g'daughter. I did that a while ago knowing I'd get swamped at this time. It's fun, but exhausting! 8)

That can be, but what I am making is out of a heavy fabric that was given to me. I'm not sure what the original use of this fabric was for, but it looks like it might have been a duvet, even though it is heavy fabric. I am making shopping bags with it. I like to take my own bags to the store instead of using paper or plastic and I was hoping to inspire my friends to do the same.

It is a small fabric bag that some people use to bake their potatoes in. Nothing fancy. You pop your potato (wrapped in a paper towel) in it and zap it in the microwave according to your microwave directions. They say it gives you a fluffy yummy potato. Do a search on the Board for "Potato Bag" and you'll find more info.

I am making quilted star ornaments for everyone and a table runner for my daycare provider. Other than that, it's storebought this year. Maybe next year!

I'd love to make more tree skirts, but I'm having trouble finding patterns that I like.....not too simple, but not terrifically demanding, either! Any recommendations? Anyone know of a good site to download patterns?

    Thanks!

I am not doing much quilting for Christmas. Only thing planned is doll quilts for my granddaughters. Maybe potholders for 2 nieces and a purse for another. I too am making shopping bags for some family members. I have a bunch of upholstery fabric I will use. I am also making clothes for the grandkids and for the girls' dolls. I am currently working on a lap quilt for my oldest granddaughters bday the end of the month. Right after Christmas, I will have to finish a twin size quilt for my youngest granddaughter's bday in Jan. and make twin size one for grandson's bday in Feb.

I'm making everyone on my list quilted and cookie cutter ornaments. Some will be little quilt blocks with snowmen appliqued to them, others ornaments the shape of Christmas Cookie Cutters. I did FINALLY find a Christmas Print with 2 good size prints on them, so 1/3 of the ornaments will also be either little santas or little reindeer.

My D9P's are almost done. One more seam on each of the 3 of them, and the tops will be finished. I will be tie tacking these as I don't put my hand quilting onto quilts for boys. I tie tack them and they'll last much longer.

Ive already almost finished my list for the year, so of course, I'm thinking of some for next year!

I am planning on making casserole totes that I found in Nancy Zimmerman's book, Quilting with Confidence. It looks easy and fast.
