They have nearly stopped in our area, too. I am very very disappointed...3 out of 4 weeks we get their fund raising programs on Saturday morning instead. We get Fons & Porter on the BYU channel on our cable system now, and they have them on nearly every day.

And then, to add to the disappointment, F&P gives the shows to the PBS stations for FREE!!! Now why wouldn't they take it? No sense!!

I'll bet your local station execs are thinking the people that actually support the local station get to watch what they want.

Get all of your quilt store owners to make donations to the station to pay for the quilt shows and they'll show them.

There is not one quilt show on ANY channel in my area on satellite or local stations. Bah, humbug!

None here in Maine either.....very disappointing. Maybe with all the reality shows on television, they could develop a Quilting Channel. I would watch!

Thank goodness -- we still have sewing/quilting shows Sat AM from 8-12:30. When they do a fund raiser for the station, I always make sure I endorse the quilting programs. A while ago they put a really bad craft program on during the fund raiser and a lot of us complained. They listened because they want our money.

When you call to make your donation, tell them the shows you want to see. Also, if you get PBS on cable, you need to make a pledge. even though you pay a cable fee, they don't get any of it.

We get PBS stations from three states (5 channels) here in NH so we see Fons & Porter, Sewing with Nancy, Martha's Sewing Room, Quilting Arts, It's Sew Easy, and America Sews. Not bad for living out in the woods in the middle of nowhere.

I have often been told by the stars of the quilting shows to write, write, write the local PBS stations.

my pbs channel carries 3 that i know of- there may be more but i get fon's & porter on mondays, sew that on wednesday (used to be sewing with nancy) and america sews with Sue huesman (sp) on saturdays.
contact your pbs and ask- request them- they show what their audiences want usually
