I'm 28 and plan on learning to quilt by next month. Been working in the quilting industry for over 3 years so I guess it's about time.

I'm 24, been sewing with a machine since I was nine, and probably handsewing since I was about 6 years old. I've been making quilt like blankets since I was 19, but I didn't do my first real quilt until earlier this year.

I'm 22, have sewn for years but just now working on my first "real" quilting project. (a wall hanging)

Years ago I made a cat block wall hanging, but back then I thought quilting was just sewing the squares together and didn't know about batting or backing - so it was basically a pieced top that I mounted in a picture frame. LOL

I'm 57. Been sewing since I was 5, (making doll clothes) and I have been quilting since I was 15 and living with my Grandmother. So I guess that makes me the "Old Hag".

I'm 37 and I've been sewing, doing cross stitch and crocheting since I was 10 or 12. I made a quilt top when I was 18 (though never got it quilted) and made another quilt before that. I just started quilting again last year. I know a lot of girls in their 30's that are avid knitters as well (though I don't know how to do that-yet). I think the younger people getting into handcrafts is turning around, and getting popular again.

i am 37 been quilting since my teen years...i did take a few years break when i was having kids and i admit when the twins were born i didn't touch any sewing or quilting for over a year....all my friends think quilting is for old ladies...i would much rather quilt then spend wasted hours at some bar or nightclub like some of my friends
