i bought a foot, said it was a rolled hem foot, and I don't understand how it works...can anyone help me...maybe I'm calling it a wrong name.(I thought that is what it was called)..what I'm trying to do is sew around a piece of satin material to make a sewn edge.. but I tried feeding the material thru the edge of the foot and its not working.. if need be I could try taking a picture of the foot it that would help anyone... thanks for any advise

Google how to use a rolled hem foot. I found some videos online that show how to use it.

There is definitely a learning curve with this foot. Get out some scraps so you can practice.

    Good luck!

    That one needs practice.

Satin can be a challenging fabric.

Thank you for sharing this. I have the foot and never had any idea how it worked. Will have to go try it later.

yes, it needs practice. the trick is to hold the fabric up and to the left of the foot/needle.

Maybe try it with scraps of cotton first, the satin is much slicker and harder to work with like bearisgray said :D:D:D

I agree here. Satin can be a beast under the best of circumstances.

Theree are also several different sizes of the rolled hem foot. I have three or four sizes. And yes, satin is a difficult fabric to work woth.

Thanks for this video. I'd sort of got it to work most of the time, but this is a great practically fool proof way at least on cotton.
