    I like the idea that if you use sashing to make it easier to put together, make the sashing out of the background fabric. Then just put a border on it. Great quilt.

    I wouldn't. I like them as they are, just the tumblers floating in that neutral. And I say that, being a huge fan of sashing; think I've used it in almost every quilt I've made.

    This is a very cute quilt and is going to look great with or without sashing!

    what creative thinking to suggest a narrow sashing out of the same background fabric--that would make it easier with the seams coming together AND keep the floating tumbler concept!

    I made one in brights colors. I didn't sash it, just put a border around it. I like to have my tumblers floating.

    I think tumblers are the kind of design that plays well with each other block to block. Voting for no sashing.
