When you have someone else quilt your quilt, do you add their name when you sign your quilt?

I teach a beginning quilters class and occassionally I will quilt a top for them. They usually include my name but I have asked them not to as I feel the recipient doesn't know me and it detracts from them being the giver of the gift. However that said I quilt tops for a friend that is a full time quilt instructor at several of the local shops and she always insists on adding quilted by Victoria to her labels. So I think maybe it's just preference.

I've started to with the last couple of quilts my Aunt has done for me. I usually say something like "designed and piece by qbquilts, quilted by XXXXXX"

many people put labels on the quilts to retain the maker information on the quilt and that includes all people who worked on the quilt.

When I create my label for my wallhangings etc I say, " Created,quilted and pieced by, Sheriann.... so far I have done my own quilting as they have all been something I am able to do.

My question is: if you are creating something for a grandchild does anyone use their name instead of or in addition to: Nana, grandma, gram, GG... etc etc

its always nice to give credit where credit is due-
it is also nice to include the name of the pattern/designer- if you used a commercial pattern to make you quilt.
the one i paid someone else to quilt had---designed and pieced by---
quilted by---
patterns from---
date, city, state
and of course the name of the quilt and the occassion of the gift.

Yes pls put names of everybody who worked on the quilt. Otherwise you're (by omission) taking credit for somebody else's work.
