    Default Virtual Quilting Weekend--12/31/20-1/3/21

Good chilly morning! Welcome to a special edition of VQW. As many are planning to quilt this weekend anyway, we decided to have a VQW. I am curious to see/hear what everyone is working on. I finished reorganizing my sewing room yesterday so today I will start working on the clues for Sew on the Go's 60s quilt. I'm guessing there will be a few working on Bonnie Hunter's mystery quilt. Perhaps you're starting on next year's Christmas presents (or finishing this year's!) Cleaning up your room to start the new year all "shiny and new". Or maybe you need to restock your stash from some of the big sales. Whatever you/re working on, hope you're able to join us.

Next VWQ will be January 15-18, 2021.

    Happy New Year to all!

So many projects but a lot of hours!
    1. Plan to finish piecing Project Linus top.
    2. Sort a couple more tubs of fabric and decide what to do with it.
    3. Start new quilt for Project Linus.
Decided to be reasonable regarding projects to attack.

Oh nuts just remembered DH wants to take me sewing machine shopping. Maybe I should go, huh?

    Thanks for starting this Heather.

Yes, I plan to climb the stairs to the inner sanctum and try to get a few more Christmas tree done. I'm using up my Christmas fabric to make 60 trees and make a quilt an odd size for the day bed. I need 60 trees and have 4 done. The blocks are 6 x 12. There are 12 pieces in each block, three are Christmas fabric.

Told DH it's another VQW. He said well I know you want to participate so we can go machine shopping on Monday. Besides, it's cold. Right no at 7.45 am 12 degrees.

I need this to get myself off the couch. I will get my angel wings quilted. Then to cut fabrics for a Christmas log cabin quilt. Also cut and start blocks for a scrappy quilt.
happy New Year’s Eve to all

    Thanks for hosting again, Heather!

My first sewing goal for today is to finish the scrappy quilt top on my design wall. I will be using my last BOM block and some 16 patches as my leader/Enders.

I’m looking forward to reading future posts.

Count me in. I have a Cleopatra's Fan to work on this weekend. I need to get it cut and laid out at the very least and then work on it with a friend. It should be fun. Now of course I don't know how much I will get done but I will be pushing my luck to get at least my sample made. Ideally I would love to get 4 of these challenging blocks done to make a table runner. Nothing like taking on this challenge. I am looking forward to it. Happy New Year everyone.
