I got a lot done on the Frolic UFO yesterday, and my Round Robin project was delivered in the afternoon.

I've been having some knee problems and worked myself a bit too hard yesterday, feeling it last night and today. But, it's my left leg and not my sewing/gas pedal foot so it doesn't slow down the sewing, just the gimping around.

It was really hard not to rip open the RR package yesterday, but today I'm going to finish putting together the block baggies for the Frolic UFO and clean up a bit first.

Yesterday and today I did a little more quilting on the large, heavy art piece. I can only do a little at a time because I've done something to my left elbow and it just gets too sore to keep going more than about 15 minutes.

Here's a sneak peak at the thread painted butterfly. It'll be a couple more weeks as the backing fabric still needs to be dyed. I sandwiched this one with a layer of Hobbs 80/20 and thread painted it. Then I added a thick layer of wool and another layer of Hobs 80/20 and a trapuntoed it. Then I cut away the excess and added another layer of batting and a backing fabric that will end up being hidden and did the basic quilting. Next I layered it with some hand painted tie stabilizers (the light tan fabric) and a piece of my hand paint/dyed fabric and tacked it all down together. Now it just needs the final backing and quilting! Yay! Hopefully it will be finished in time for the next VQW.

The butterfly is amazing, Rob. It looks real!

I'm still plugging on finishing the scrappy quilt.

Love the butterfly. Have three of the eight welding caps done. Went for a mile walk today.

Lots of great inspiration here! I am continuing to make HSTs for Bonnie Hunter's Jamestown Landing quilt. Went to a workshop in 2018... Made all the neutral strings over a year ago. Then I restarted start in June and thought I was ready to finish all the blocks. WELL, I discovered I needed to make 420 more HSTs. Getting very close. In the box are the 73 I made yesterday and at least 50 on the right for today. Using as much variety as stash allows with precut strips, strips I cut and yardage. Once blocks are made, it is on to the piano key/stringed border to use the leftover blues. Fun, fun, fun!

Stunning threadwork Rob! And lots of wonderful projects all around!
I managed to sandwich one of the veteran's quilt tops from a guild member yesterday. Today I made 10 more masks for the grands and their moms.

Thank you, sewbizgirl and Panchita! It’s actually my favorite quilt I’ve made so far.

Rryder, that butterfly is just stunning! I can’t imagine the time you spent on it.

All the other posted photos look lovely, too!

such great work! Don't think I'm patient enough to do thread painting, Rob, but your's is outstanding!. Quilting Vagabond--I was working on the same masks today for grandboys and their Mom--so cute! And I like how you have the elastic with the beads--so am I right that it goes around the ears and then the 2nd beads "clip" together? All I have left to do is the elastic and beads--had planned to do the one where the elastic goes over the head & around the neck at the bottom and then the top is pulled up with a bead. Uses more long pc of elastic and I'm possibly going to run out of it but do have a source. I also made 5 for son that is electrician and informed me that his are getting "grubby". Since he wears a hard hat all day and says that anything tied or even elastic around the top part of the head gets irritating underneath the hard hat. So I added more elastic and a bead to go over the hard hart--hope that works! Want to get these done so I can start a quilt!

I got a lot done in between lawn mowing, wood splitting, and a lobster 🦞 feed with family.
I posted the other night about working on the jelly roll table runners, I miss counted, I only have 14, not the 17 I had previously posted. All are fall themed, and ready to zigzag together. I also started the "rope" for a rug. I like to sew in batches, once my machine is set up to sew the ropes, I sew several, then once everything is done, I will set my machine up to zigzag everything.
I have items in a few crafters stores, with the very low probability of craft fairs this fall, I decided to try craft shops instead. So far so good. Will have a space until 12/31/20. Both shops are juried, so no replicas. I am only putting in the jelly roll table runners and rugs and the stenciled pillows I make. Fall items right now, then it's onto Thank you Raggiemom for hosting, looking forward to labor day weekend VQW. Lots of nice looking projects got worked on this weekend 😁.
